Hello everyone, thanks for tuning in. We have received the most recent real estate statistics from DataQuick, a local company in San Diego that tracks everything that is going on in the real estate market. They have given us some exciting news that we would like, in turn, to share with you.

    • The number of both foreclosure and short home sales has decreased dramatically in San Diego County. They are down 52% and 67% from lat year respectably, and we are getting back to a more traditional and stable market.
    • The number of homes selling to investors is also down by 15%. A lot of those hedge fund investors have left town and stopped buying up houses and outbidding average home buyers, which is good news for current prospective home buyers.
    • The number of overall home sales in San Diego has jumped by over 13% in the last month.
    • Appreciation values are also seeing a steady increase of about 1% a month. This is a great figure that signifies steady appreciation over time. We have had 25 straight months of positive appreciation and that trend is looking to continue.
If you have any questions at all about what your home could be worth in the current market, or if you would like a copy of DataQuick’s statistics, please send us an e-mail at or give us a call at 858-699-3895.
