This episode of East County Eats features the perfect fusion of healthy and delicious. Kyle Whissel is off to Santee’s newest eatery, The Wrapshack.

Nestled into a sweet spot off of Cuyamaca right next to Rita’s(conveniently located dessert option?), this new restaurant is offering something East County was in desperate need of, a healthier menu. The Wrap Shack has a wide variety of wrap selections varying from hot to cold choices. If a wrap is not your style, we have a secret..you can ask for bread or a bun instead. They also have a selection of eats for your kids, adorably named the “Lil Wrappers” menu.

Patrick and Jenny really wanted to focus on a broad menu that includes healthy options, but also has guilty pleasures that are not overwhelming in bread content. What does that mean, you ask? Try the burger wrap and find out! The Wrap Shack offers vegan and vegetarian options, fresh soup and house made croutons daily, not to mention a salad bar with 31 items to choose from. Hang out and stay a while, they have umbrellas outdoors that charge your electronics, it’s truly the perfect summer eat spot!
