Heartbeat Classic Chevy Car Show returns to our Spring Festival at Bates Nut Farm. Organized by Heartbeat Classics, the show is open to all car makes & models from 1975 and older, as well as big rig tractors. Spectators can admire these lovingly restored cars, and reminisce about old times. Trophies and dash plaques will be awarded, and there will be raffle prizes including 2 flat screen TV’s. Proceeds from the show will be donated to the Veterans Association of North County. In past years, this popular show has had over 200 entries filling the west side of the park. Held in conjunction with the Spring Festival Arts, Crafts & Vintage Market. Free admission.

What's going on in East County?

Hey guys, it's Kyle Whissel with Everything East County, and I want to share what's going on in East County with you guys: tons and tons of events coming up. We're here in the spring, headed into the summer. As you know, there's always a lot of fun stuff going on. Part of living in East County is being outdoors, right?

So, the first thing we got comin' up is the famous Lakeside Rodeo, that is kicking off Friday, April 26th, goes all weekend. Tons of fun events going on there. It's good for the family, just a really fun event. Really kind of brings East County together, so definitely check that out, that'll be at the Lakeside Rodeo grounds.

You've got the 9th annual Mission Valley Craft Beer & Food Festival that's going on at The Cred, formerly Jack Murphy Stadium, formerly Qualcomm Stadium, and currently San Diego County Credit Union Stadium, or The Cred as they call it. Why are we telling you about this if it's in Mission Valley? Well, because we got some East County restaurants and breweries out there: you got Alpine Brewing, you got Burning Beard out there, you got our boys at 52 East, so that's happening Saturday the 27th at the San Diego County Credit Union Stadium, formerly Qualcomm Stadium, so definitely check that out: lots of good food, lots of good beer!

Next up, you got the Heartbeat Happening Classic Car Show, that's happening out at Bates Nut Farm. That's going down on Sunday, the 28th. Tons of cool cars out there 1975 and older. Should be a really fun event, if you've never been to Bates Nut Farm, definitely go up there. Very, very good family activity, you guys will have a blast.

Next up: those of you guys that either looking for a job or you've got a job and you need somebody for that position, check out the East County Career Expo. That's happening Wednesday, May 1st, Cuyamaca College Student Center, and again, whether you need a job, you got a job, this is for you. Definitely check that one out, that'll be a fun one.

This is a really cool event, I'm a big music fan, I love music and I love food, two of my favorite things out there, this really brings it all together, Dinner & a Concert. This is happening outdoor downtown Main Street at the Prescott Promenade Park. That's going down Friday, May 3rd, Check that out, fun, music, food, outdoors, beautiful. That is a fun one to go to with the family. Now we get into something for those of you guys that like to have a little fun, toss some beanbags.

We got Cinco de Baggo, that's going down on Cinco de Mayo, which is Sunday this year. It's happening at Carlton Oaks golf course. There'll be tons of food, prizes, drinks, of course, that'll be a good time.

And then last but not least, a couple of the gals from our office, Miss Jodilynn Kim and Mai Shen are going to be leading a home buyer seminar that's happening at East County Schools Federal Credit Union. That's happening on Wednesday, May 8th.
