When homebuyers reach out and start talking to a Realtor before talking to a lender, they are essentially putting the cart before the horse. The main reason you want to talk to a lender first is that they will help you nail down the ideal price point for you and your family to target.

I see buyers go out, find the perfect home, connect with a lender, and then realize they don’t qualify for it. Or, sometimes, they qualify for a much better home. We want you to talk to the lender first so we can nail down that ideal price point before you start looking for homes. If there are some small changes you can make to your credit, it can increase your affordability and decrease your interest rate.
